Okidata Warranty Options

Okidata printers have many warranty options that an owner or perspective buyer should be aware of. This is a brief review of the options available to service an Okidata printer.

First you should know the date of purchase of your Okidata printer. This date affects your warranty plan in how long the warranty plan will last before expiration. You have a choice of either the carry-in service or on-site service. Carry-in is perfect for a smaller printer used mainly in the home or small business. You physically bring the Okidata printer in yourself for service. The on-site is more for printers that cannot be taken out of their current office space easily. An authorized Okidata service center near your business will dispatch a serviceman to repair your unit on-site.

The basic warranty service provided to all Okidata printers can quickly and easily be extended by the buyer. This warranty extension allows the owner to add one of two designated extension lengths to their current warranty. They can choose to either extend their warranty by 12 months or 24 months. All new Okidata printers come with a standard 12 month warranty, which depending on the extension chosen can be as long as 36 months of warranty coverage. There is however a time limit for this extended warranty. All warranty extension must be purchased during a 90-day period from when the printer was purchased. A warranty extension can be bought from a licensed Okidata service center or online. The manufacturers’ website is a perfect place to look up all of your current Oki warranty questions.

There are many warranty options offered to printer owners. Service can be handled on-site or in an official service center. The current warranty can be easily extended by the purchaser of the Okidata printer.
